Article (please go back to your blog post to get this information)
- Name of Article: Be Our Guest: Major League Soccer stadium would pollute Flushing Meadows-Corona Park
- Author: HOLLY LEICHT
- Date of Article: Monday, May 13, 2013
- Site:http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/queens/guest-soccer-stadium-pollute-flushing-meadows-corona-park-article-1.1341551
- Quote 1: Building a stadium on this site will alter not just the site itself, but the nature of the park altogether. The footprint of the arena would be up to 13 acres, but the directly affected acreage, as defined by MLS's proposed circulation roads and pathways, would be at least double that. On game days, tens of thousands of fans travelling from Citi Field parking lots, the Long Island Railroad and the No. 7 Train would overwhelm the park, exacerbating the already significant maintenance challenges this heavily used public space faces.
- What does the quote mean to you?
This quote sound well to me, because having a big stadium give you more courage to focuse on your play ( soccer ). Other people who don’t play soccer, might not like the building of the stadium, because of the traffic.
How does the quote relevant to your study of the impact of neighborhood on leisure?
this quote relevant to my study by giving me more courage focus on playing soccer

- 2) I also learn that building stadium in neighborhoods will make much people to focus on playing soccer and also give them courage to do they best.
